LeBron James' low salary considered against Washington Huskies players

LeBron James will enter his 24th season in the NBA with a two-year, $8 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, earning $3.9 million this season. Meanwhile, players from the Washington Huskies men's basketball team, aided by NIL deals, may earn comparable or higher salaries than James. Junior guard Zoom Diallo is set to make at least $3.9 million this season after transferring to the Kentucky Wildcats. Huskies guard Wesley Yates III is also expected to be a top earner after injuries affected his previous seasons. The roster for the 2026-27 season now includes 15 players, a significant increase from last year's six returning players.
