LeBron James signing boosts Philadelphia's upcoming national TV schedule

Summary

LeBron James announced a two-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. Philadelphia is set to feature in 34 nationally televised games during the 2026-27 NBA season, the maximum allowed under the league's current rights deal. This move comes as the 76ers aim for their first championship since 1983, having struggled in recent playoff appearances. James remains a key player despite being in the later stages of his career, averaging over 20 points per game last season. His presence will provide fans ample opportunities to watch his pursuit of a fifth NBA championship.
