Lee Garris drafted by Yankees from Maury High in 2026 MLB Draft

Lee Garris, a senior outfielder from Maury High School, was selected in the 13th round of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees. Garris went No. 398 overall after an impressive senior season, earning All-Tidewater Player of the Year honors. He helped Maury High reach the Virginia state championship game while posting a.530 batting average with nine home runs, 24 RBIs, and 44 runs scored. Previously committed to James Madison University, Garris now has the chance to start his professional baseball career with the Yankees.
