Leeds Hunters Rugby has submitted a bid to host the Bingham Cup and the Amanda Mark Cup in June 2028. The tournament is expected to attract around 4,000 players from LGBTQ+ and inclusive rugby teams worldwide. If successful, matches will primarily take place at The Sycamores and culminate with a final at Headingley stadium. Support from local entities, including the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds City Council, bolsters the proposal against competing bids from Dublin, Vancouver, Orlando, Perth, and Querétaro. The International Gay Rugby organization plans to announce the winning city in the upcoming months.
