Leeds United sign Jean-Mattéo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt on loan

Leeds United have secured French youth international Jean-Mattéo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2026/27 campaign. The move is structured as a loan that includes a mandatory purchase clause, ensuring the 21-year-old attacker joins the Premier League club on a permanent basis for a guaranteed €30m. Bahoya leaves the Bundesliga side after two-and-a-half seasons, during which he registered seven goals in 78 appearances. The transfer follows a failed attempt by Hull City to sign the player earlier in the window, which Bahoya declined before Leeds moved to complete the deal on deadline day. Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung confirmed the departure, noting the player's development during his time in Germany. The mechanism mirrors the recent transfer of Hugo Larsson from Frankfurt to Fulham, with the German club realizing the transfer fee at a later stage.
