Leeds United striker Lukas Nmecha targeted by FC Köln for January loan

Summary

Leeds United made a solid start to the 2026/27 Premier League season, currently sitting in seventh place with 11 points from eight matches. FC Köln are reportedly interested in striker Lukas Nmecha, who has made seven appearances this season without scoring. Nmecha's contract runs until June 2027, and Leeds may consider offers that include a mandatory purchase clause. The club is cautious about loaning out Nmecha, as striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has a history of injuries and limited depth could prove problematic later in the season.
