Leicester City completed the signing of Danish forward Emil Riis from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee on September 1. The 28-year-old signed a four-year contract at the King Power Stadium after a spell at Ashton Gate that began in 2025. Riis led Bristol City in scoring last season with 12 goals in all competitions and added three assists. Leicester are seeking to improve their form after failing to win any of their first three League One matches following their relegation from the Championship. Bristol City sporting director James Ellis noted that the move allows the club to manage squad changes while providing the player an opportunity to compete at a club aiming for promotion.
