Leon Goretzka offers himself to Barcelona as free agent

Summary

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has reportedly offered his services to Barcelona following the expiration of his contract. Despite his strong background, Barcelona is not currently looking to sign the 31-year-old, even amidst concerns about Frenkie de Jong's long-term injury. This situation arose as Goretzka's representatives reached out to the La Liga club, proposing a reunion with former Bayern coach Hansi Flick. The Catalan team’s decision not to pursue Goretzka comes as he remains a free agent for the 2026/27 season.
