Leverkusen nears agreement for Gutiérrez transfer from Napoli

Bayer Leverkusen is close to finalizing the signing of Miguel Gutiérrez from SSC Napoli for around €30 million, including bonuses, according to sources. Sporting managing director Simon Rolfes stated that while the agreement is not finalized, progress has been made in negotiations. Gutiérrez is expected to fill the position left vacant by Alejandro Grimaldo, who transferred to Atlético Madrid. Rolfes indicated that the club has been monitoring Gutiérrez for some time and views him as a suitable replacement with similar attributes to Grimaldo. A resolution is anticipated soon, but no official announcement has been made yet.
