Francis Onyeka is close to joining SV Elversberg on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, with negotiations in the final stages. The transfer follows Elversberg's signing of Maurice Krattenmacher from FC Bayern. Onyeka, who had a productive loan with VfL Bochum scoring eight goals, is set to gain top-flight experience as he has not previously played in the Bundesliga. Additionally, Leverkusen aims to extend Onyeka's contract until 2031. He will captain the Germany U19 team in this summer’s Euros in Wales.
