Lewis Hamilton retires from Spanish Grand Prix following brake performance issues

Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton retired on lap seven of the Spanish Grand Prix at Madring after experiencing recurring brake system malfunctions. During the early stages of the race, a battle involving Hamilton, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, and Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli led to a radio dispute. Verstappen was instructed by his team to relinquish a position back to Hamilton after a contested overtake, prompting the Red Bull driver to label the decision as Mickey Mouse racing. Hamilton brushed off the comment, characterizing the sequence as good racing while explaining that his focus remained on the technical problems with his car. Although he initially continued following a minor collision with a barrier, the brake pedal issues eventually forced his exit from the event. Meanwhile, Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc maintained a lead for the majority of the race before ultimately finishing in fourth place.
