Leyla Britez Risso named ITA's most improved player in Ohio Valley region

Tennessee women's tennis player Leyla Britez Risso has been named the ITA's most improved player for the Ohio Valley region. The senior achieved a notable 16-1 singles record during the 2026 regular season, including an 11-0 mark at home and a successful 11-match win streak to start the dual campaign. Britez Risso also secured a Second-Team All-SEC selection and was 7-2 against ranked opponents. She expressed gratitude for the honor, acknowledging her growth and the support of her teammates and coach Alison Ojeda throughout her college career.
