Liam Lawson receives grid penalty for power unit changes at Italian Grand Prix

Liam Lawson will start from the back of the grid for the Italian Grand Prix after his Red Bull car required multiple new power unit components. Documents from the FIA confirm that the RB22 has been fitted with a sixth internal combustion engine, a new turbocharger, and a new exhaust system. Lawson is also running his fourth MGU-K and seventh PU-ANC, all of which exceed the permitted seasonal allocation. These penalties move him to the back of the field alongside Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes and Alex Albon of Williams. Lawson continues to substitute for Isack Hadjar, who remains sidelined following a wrist injury, marking the second straight race for the replacement driver. Yuki Tsunoda has also moved into a substitute role, taking over the seat at Racing Bulls for the weekend.
