Liam Lawson replaces Isack Hadjar for Red Bull at Italian Grand Prix

Liam Lawson will drive for Red Bull at this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix in Monza. The New Zealander was confirmed for the seat on Wednesday after it was determined that Isack Hadjar would remain sidelined to continue rehabilitation for a wrist injury. Lawson previously stepped in for Hadjar at Zandvoort, where he secured a P7 finish. Preparation for the upcoming event involved simulator sessions and coordination with both Red Bull and Racing Bulls engineers, a process Lawson described as the biggest challenge of the seat swap due to the distinct differences in handling and balance between the two cars. Yuki Tsunoda will maintain his role at Racing Bulls while Lawson fills the vacancy at Red Bull. With the confirmation now official, Lawson intends to focus his efforts on the three practice sessions available to prepare for the race.
