Liam Lawson will remain in the Oracle Red Bull Racing cockpit alongside Max Verstappen for this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. The team confirmed that Isack Hadjar requires more time to recover from a wrist injury sustained during training this summer. Lawson previously stepped in for Hadjar at Zandvoort and Monza, recording finishes of P7 and P14. Although Hadjar is not yet medically cleared to race, he will travel to the new Madrid track to support the team’s operations. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda continues to drive for the sister Racing Bulls squad alongside Arvid Lindblad. The team statement emphasized that Hadjar’s recovery is progressing as planned, with officials expecting his return to the grid in the near future.
