The 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season will begin on August 21, with Olympique de Marseille facing Strasbourg in the first match at 8:45 p.m. The season kickoffs follow the start of Ligue 3 on August 7 and Ligue 2 on August 8. Other major European leagues, including La Liga and the Premier League, will also restart around the same time, with La Liga starting on August 15 and the Premier League on the 21st.
