Lille announced on Monday the signing of Japan international striker Ayase Ueda from Dutch club Feyenoord. The French club completed the deal for 15 million euros. This acquisition follows Lille’s sale of Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City last week for 100 million euros. The 28-year-old Ueda recorded 25 goals in the Dutch league last season and scored twice during the World Cup. Lille continues to evaluate its roster as negotiations regarding the potential sale of Belgian striker Matias Fernandez-Pardo to Newcastle remain ongoing for a reported 65 million euros.
