Lily Wachter shoots 68 in first round of Junior PGA Championship

Lily Wachter from St. Augustine posted a 4-under-par 68 in the first round of the Junior PGA Championship at the Fields Ranch in Frisco, Texas on July 28. She is currently four shots behind leader Carolyn Liu, who shot an 8-under 64. Sahana Chokshi sits tied for 24th with a 2-under 70, while Sofia Rivera is tied for 66th after a 1-over 73. Wachter started strong, birdieing four of her first ten holes before finishing the round with two bogeys and one additional birdie. The second round begins on July 29, with Wachter teeing off early at 8:54 a.m.
