Linebacker Jamie Sheriff joins the Los Angeles Rams practice squad

Linebacker Jamie Sheriff is signing with the Los Angeles Rams practice squad following his departure from the Seattle Seahawks. The move comes after Seattle waived the third-year player on Sunday, as he failed to secure a spot on the team's initial 53-man roster or practice squad for the third consecutive year. Sheriff previously spent the majority of his first two NFL seasons on the Seattle practice squad after going undrafted in 2024. He briefly joined the Carolina Panthers in 2024 before returning to the Seattle organization. Last season, Sheriff saw action on the active roster due to injuries involving Ernest Jones IV and Tyrice Knight, eventually recording one solo tackle during a game against the Tennessee Titans. He concluded his most recent preseason stint with three solo tackles and half a sack against the Titans on August 23.
