Linebacker Kyle Van Noy signs with the Vikings practice squad

The Minnesota Vikings signed veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy to the practice squad on September 2, 2026. This move reunites the 35-year-old with defensive coordinator Brian Flores. The two previously worked together for four years with the New England Patriots and later with the Miami Dolphins in 2020. Van Noy arrives in Minnesota after spending the last three years playing for the Baltimore Ravens. A former second-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2014, Van Noy has appeared in 173 regular-season games and recorded 57.0 career sacks. He is expected to provide depth and assist in mentoring younger players on the nuances of the defensive scheme implemented by Flores.
