Lio Rush turning to the Blackheart paid off. Not only has Lio captured popularity among fans, now he was gold. Lio won the ROH World Television Championship at Global Wars: Cincinnati. Lio competed in a three-way against former friend Action Andretti and champion AR Fox. Down the stretch of the TV title bout, Andretti delivered a low blow to Fox. He blitzed Lio for a shotgun dropkick, but he missed the mark on a split-legged moonsault. Lio didn’t skip a beat for a spear and a submission to Andretti. Fox broke the hold, so Lio took him out again on a basement stunner. Lio popped up from a roll-up to crack a slick head kick on Andretti. The Black Thunder bomb finished the job as Lio pinned Andretti to win the championship.
