Lions address linebacker changes ahead of training camp

The Detroit Lions are preparing for training camp with significant changes in their linebacker unit. Following the departure of Alex Anzalone to the Buccaneers, the Lions have eight linebackers on their 90-man roster, less than the usual six they typically retain. The team will adjust its defensive approach, planning to implement more nickel sets this season. Previous trends indicated the Lions often kept six linebackers, focusing on special teams contributions, but this year’s configuration reflects personnel shifts and strategic changes. Training camp for the Lions will begin soon, as they compete for roster spots.
