Lions evaluate former Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs during tryout

Summary

The Detroit Lions conducted a tryout for former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, exploring options for their secondary as the season approaches. Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler, is attempting to return to form after battling injuries and inconsistent play over recent seasons. He previously signed a five-year, $97 million contract with the Cowboys but was released in December 2025 after limited appearances and an injury-plagued tenure. Diggs' performance in the tryout could determine his fit within the Lions' roster, particularly in a scheme that favors physical play. No contract has been reported as of now.
