Lions’ Penei Sewell shifts to left tackle after Decker release

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell confirmed that Penei Sewell is transitioning to left tackle following the release of Taylor Decker. This lineup change comes after Decker's departure saved the Lions $11.6 million against the cap. Sewell, a four-time Pro Bowl player, has previously played left tackle during college and early in his NFL career, which Campbell believes will aid in the transition.
