Lions place two players on injured lists, release defensive tackle

The Detroit Lions placed offensive lineman Christian Mahogany on the active/Non-Football Injury list and defensive back Christian Izien on the active/Non-Football Illness list ahead of training camp. These designations prevent them from practicing but they can be activated at any time. Additionally, the Lions released defensive tackle Jay Tufele, who was signed in April. Coach Dan Campbell is expected to provide more updates on the injured players.
