Lions provide update on Brian Branch after loss to Panthers

The Detroit Lions, after a 32-26 loss to the Carolina Panthers on October 5 that dropped them to 2-2 this season, received a positive injury update on safety Brian Branch. Coach Dan Campbell expressed optimism that Branch would practice this week as he awaits clearance from his doctor. Defensive challenges persisted, with the Lions' defense ranking last in the NFL, allowing over 423 yards. Other injury concerns include cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, ruled out due to a hamstring injury, and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, who is day-to-day. The Lions will host the Arizona Cardinals on October 11, where Branch's potential return is anticipated to boost the struggling defense.
