Lions settle injury claim with safety Loren Strickland

The Detroit Lions have reached an injury settlement with safety Loren Strickland, enabling him to become a free agent. Strickland was placed on the Waived/Injured list after suffering a lower body injury during the preseason opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024, he had spent much of his time on the practice squad but participated in nine career games. The settlement provides the opportunity for Strickland to sign with another team once he is healthy.
