Liverpool and Man United pursue Mamadou Sangare amid transfer battle

Summary

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly competing for RC Lens midfielder Mamadou Sangare this summer. The 22-year-old, valued at €40 million, has caught the attention of multiple clubs following a strong season in Ligue 1. Sangare made 29 appearances this past season, contributing three goals and three assists while leading Ligue 1 in tackles. With United preparing a formal offer, Liverpool must act decisively to secure the player, as their midfield recruitment is critical under new coach Andoni Iraola. The situation is compounded by other clubs tracking Sangare and fluctuations in transfer market values, particularly following anticipated moves from Manchester City.
