Liverpool has started formal negotiations with Crystal Palace to acquire winger Ismaila Sarr. They submitted an opening bid of around £50 million after their pursuit of Brighton's Yankuba Minteh faltered due to a high asking price. Sarr is keen on the move to Anfield, which could expedite personal terms discussions. Crystal Palace, having rejected offers from Galatasaray for Sarr, now faces a difficult decision as the transfer window approaches its end.

- •Negotiations are underway between Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
