Liverpool evaluate transfer move for Lamine Camara in January window

Liverpool face potential midfield roster adjustments during the upcoming January transfer window following a summer where the club did not sign a defensive specialist. Although internal options include Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister, questions regarding squad depth persist after the departure of Curtis Jones. AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara remains a transfer target after a previously negotiated £47 million deal with Chelsea did not materialize. The Ligue 1 club’s financial structure requires player sales, leaving a potential opening for other teams to pursue the Senegal international. Liverpool’s leadership must decide whether to allocate funds for the position when the transfer period opens in January. Any acquisition would likely depend on the club generating capital through outbound player sales during the same window.
