Liverpool rely on Bradley Barcola after failing to sign additional wingers

Liverpool opted against late transfer moves for Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr during the final days of the window. Beyond the cost, Minteh is currently recovering from surgery for a thigh injury sustained in pre-season. The club hierarchy intends to utilize Bradley Barcola, signed on the penultimate day of the transfer window, to fill the right-wing position. While often deployed on the left, Barcola has logged over 3,600 minutes on the right throughout his career, recording 11 goals and 13 assists in that role. The decision to retain Cody Gakpo further bolstered the existing attacking options, leaving the club settled with the current squad composition heading into the season.
