Liverpool schedules pre-season matches at Anfield against Monaco and Como

Liverpool has added two matches to its pre-season schedule at Anfield, announcing a fixture against AS Monaco on August 9 and Como 1907 on August 16. The Reds, returning from a tour in the United States where they will face Sunderland, Wrexham, and Leeds United starting July 25, are preparing for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The matches will be the first opportunity for fans to see the team under new head coach Andoni Iraola, who is expected to be appointed soon as Liverpool looks to rebuild after a disappointing previous season. The matches will also serve as a lead-in to the World Cup, which begins on June 11.
