Liverpool signs Victor Munoz, affecting Gakpo's future

Summary

Liverpool is set to finalize the signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna after triggering his €40 million release clause. This move marks Andoni Iraola's first significant signing as head coach and signals a shift in the club's attacking strategy. Munoz's versatility could challenge the role of Cody Gakpo, who had a disappointing season, scoring only seven Premier League goals. With the emergence of young talent Rio Ngumoha, competition for starting spots in the forward line is increasing. This situation raises questions about Gakpo's position within the squad moving forward.
