Liverpool Women sign defender Mari Ward from Bristol City

Liverpool Women announced the signing of full back Mari Ward on July 2, 2026. Ward joins the team after completing her contract with Bristol City, making her the third signing of the summer after Sara Agrez and Vivian Endemann. The 20-year-old, who played primarily on the left side last season, is excited to join a club with significant history. She has experience at various youth levels for England, recently debuting for the U23 team in October 2025. Ward will join her new teammates during pre-season training.
