Lloyd Avant emerges as leader for OU running backs in 2026 camp

Oklahoma's training camp is underway as new running backs coach Deland McCullough praises Colorado State transfer Lloyd Avant for his high performance during the offseason. Avant, who graded consistently above 90%, has shown early leadership among a competitive group that includes returning backs Tory Blaylock and Xavier Robinson, as well as talented freshmen Jonathan Hatton Jr. and DeZephen Walker.
