Local athletes nominated for Franklin-Fulton Athlete of the Week honors

The final Athlete of the Week poll for the spring season is open from June 2 to June 5. Six nominees from baseball and softball are in contention for their performances during the week of May 25 to June 1. Notable nominees include Chambersburg baseball's Aaron Vasquez, who contributed two hits in a District 3 Class 6A title game, and Greencastle-Antrim softball's Kiersten Swain, who struck out nine in a district quarterfinal victory. The poll combines boys and girls candidates, with winners for the Baseball and Softball Player of the Year awards expected soon after the poll closes.
