Loïs Openda set to leave Juventus for loan to Lyon

Loïs Openda is expected to finalize a move from Juventus to Olympique Lyonnais, according to Sky Sport. The Belgian striker, 26, joined Juventus last summer from RB Leipzig for nearly €43m but struggled in Serie A, scoring just two goals in 34 matches during the 2025-26 season. His transfer to Lyon will be on a loan basis with an option to buy. Openda previously had success in Ligue 1 with RC Lens, netting 21 goals in the 2022-23 season. His move may also provide an opportunity for him to reestablish himself with the Belgian national team ahead of future competitions.
