- 4:00 PMCageside Seats — I’m calling conspiracy on Lola Vice’s win on NXT this week
"Lola Vice became the top contender to the NXT women’s championship by defeating Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong on this week’s episode of NXT television on The CW in what was actually a damn good main event. She got her hand raised as the rightful winner but I’m raising the question — were her shoulders also down for the final three count? Here’s the video of the match, with the deciding fall and moment in question coming at the 13:51 mark: Now, it does look like Vice may have landed in such a way that her shoulders are very slightly elevated and not technically on the mat at the same time as Armstrong. But I’m willing to be the old man yelling at the clouds saying it’s too close for my liking, and the rules need to be followed. Then I remembered who runs NXT, and I remembered a world heavyweight championship match on Monday Night Raw from late in 2003, and how that finish played out and it all made sense: It’s a damn conspiracy, and it stinks to the top.
