During the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last Saturday, Lola Vice experienced a frightening fall when a ladder slid out from under her and Jacy Jayne. Vice described the incident as painful but fortunately not serious. She mentioned thoughts of injury crossed her mind during the fall, but attributed her resilience to physical strength. Tiffany Stratton’s own fall during the match drew more attention as she narrowly avoided serious injury before winning the event. Both matches involved significant risks associated with ladder maneuvers, sparking discussions about their dangers.

"Tiffany Stratton’s unfortunate ladder dive got most of the attention, because Stratton not only amazingly seemed to escape a concussion when her dive off a ladder came up short and caused her to smash the back of her head on the arena floor, she continued and won last Saturday’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. But as the main main Geno Mrosko reminded us last Sunday, Tiffy wasn’t the only one who took a scary fall in that PLE-opening bout. The slide Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne took when the ladder they land on slides out of the ring is terrifying from every angle. View this post on Instagram Vice talked through it on WWE Ahora (translation by Fightful’s Luis Pulido) and confirmed that, yep, that was scary. And painful. And could have been worse: “I had Jacy in a choke and when I put her to sleep, she fell back and I fell with her. I thought that was the end of it, but suddenly the ladder went backwards, and literally, it got us out of the ring. Because of that, I didn’t win Money in the Bank. It hurt a lot and was very scary, but looking back, thank God it came out like this because it could have been very ugly. I think an injury in a Ladder match would have been rough. They are not for everyone, but thank God I’m strong and I was able to do it.” As someone who has a hard time even watching ladder matches (having had my fair share of home improvement-related mishaps and injuries in my life, pain caused by ladders feels too relatable, I guess), I take no issue with her “they’re not for everyone” take. We’re certainly thankful that Vice, Jayne, Stratton, and all the ladder match participants in New Orleans seem pretty healthy today.
