FC Schalke goalkeeper Loris Karius has dismissed reports suggesting he is in contact with Germany coach Jürgen Klopp regarding a potential national team selection. The 33-year-old has experienced a strong start to the Bundesliga season, contributing to four points in three matches for his club. Karius played in the 0-0 draw against Bayern Munich and the 3-1 victory over Union Berlin. While social media speculation surrounding his potential international debut has increased, Karius stated he has had no communication with the coaching staff. He noted that he considers a call-up to be neither realistic nor unrealistic at this stage. Klopp is scheduled to announce the roster for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against the Netherlands, Greece, and Serbia on September 17.
