Louie Hinchliffe and Charlie Dobson withdraw from England athletics team

Sprinters Louie Hinchliffe and Charlie Dobson have officially withdrawn from the England athletics team, one day before the Commonwealth Games begin in Glasgow. Both athletes, who earned bronze medals in relay events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, will not participate in the upcoming track and field events. This comes as part of a larger wave of withdrawals, with nine English athletes, including notable Olympians Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Dina Asher-Smith, already out of the competition. Elliot Jones remains England's only sprinter in the 100m heats, while the men's 4x100m relay team is comprised of Jones, Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, Romell Glave, and Ebuka Nwokeji.
