Louis Carey appointed head coach of Bristol City under-21 team

Bristol City has appointed former player Louis Carey as the head coach for their under-21 team, effective at the end of July. Carey, the club's all-time appearance holder with 646 games played, has previously coached for eight and a half years at Southampton and had a stint at Forest Green Rovers. He succeeds Joe Morrell, who served as interim head coach in the spring. Sporting director James Ellis highlighted the importance of Carey's role in developing young talent for the first team.
