Louisville adds defensive players Mack and Perry under new eligibility rule

Louisville football will welcome back cornerback Jabari Mack and linebacker Kalib Perry after both were granted an additional year of eligibility by the NCAA under the '5-for-5' rule. This rule allows eligible players to compete for five years if they enroll in college before their 20th birthday. Mack, who previously transferred from Jacksonville State, is expected to regain his starting role. Perry adds depth to the linebacker position following a season where he was part of a rotation. Louisville's season opener is scheduled for September 6 against Ole Miss.
