Louisville basketball players compete with LeBron in NIL earnings

In an upcoming Bahamian trip, Louisville's basketball squad will participate but without traditional coverage or resources. Concurrently, a report indicates that some college basketball players, including those from Louisville, will earn more than LeBron James’ nearly $4 million salary with the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Eighteen college athletes are projected to surpass this figure, with Louisville's Flory Bidunga and Jackson Shelstad among them. This underscores the growing impact of NIL opportunities in college athletics. The players' earnings highlight a significant shift in financial landscapes for amateur athletes compared to established professionals.
