Louisville football has rescheduled its 2027 season opener to face Richmond on August 28 at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. The game was initially set for September 11. This adjustment follows the NCAA's decision to implement a new uniform 14-week regular season in 2027, allowing FBS programs to start during Week Zero.
