Louisville Kings claim UFL title in inaugural season win

Summary

The Louisville Kings secured the UFL championship on June 13, defeating the D.C. Defenders 27-20 at FedEx Field. Trailing 16-7 at halftime, the Kings rallied with 20 unanswered points. A late four-point field goal by D.C. kicker Matt McCrane closed the gap, but the Defenders failed to score on a key fourth-down attempt. Quarterback Chandler Rogers struggled with 81 passing yards and two interceptions, while tailback Ian Wheeler and former NFL running back James Robinson each contributed a touchdown.
