LSU baseball conducted its first fall scrimmage on October 8 at Alex Box Stadium, featuring a mix of new freshmen and returning players. Key performances included strong pitching from William Schmidt and Cooper Sides, both showing impressive strikeout capabilities. Freshmen Malachi Washington and Dominic Santarelli highlighted the scrimmage, with Washington transitioning smoothly to infield positions. Coach Jay Johnson aims to leverage this fall to build on a challenging previous season, where LSU missed the postseason. The next official fall game is scheduled for October 31.
