LSU defeats Clemson with 51-10 season-opening victory at Tiger Stadium

The LSU Tigers defeated the Clemson Tigers 51-10 in a home game at Tiger Stadium on September 5, 2026. The LSU defense, nicknamed the Bayou Bandits, held the visiting offense to 145 total yards and forced a 1-13 performance on third down. Tennessee transfer Jordan Ross contributed to the win with a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first half. LSU recorded 11 tackles for a loss and limited the Clemson ground game to 40 yards. Following the performance, Ross earned SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors.
