LSU football prepares for 2026 season under new coach Lane Kiffin

Summary

LSU football gears up for the 2026 season with head coach Lane Kiffin, who has made significant roster changes since taking over. The Tigers finished the 2025 season with a 7-6 record, including a loss in the Texas Bowl to Houston. With only six returning starters, including key players like TE Trey’Dez Green and LB Whit Weeks, the team faces challenges as they adjust to a new coaching staff. Kiffin’s strategy and recruiting efforts aim to rejuvenate the program's performance following a disappointing previous season. The season starts on September 5 against Clemson.
