LSU men's basketball adds Donovan Dent from UCLA for 2026 season

Donovan Dent has committed to LSU men's basketball, strengthening the team's roster for the 2026 season. The former UCLA guard averaged 13.3 points and 7.6 assists last year. Dent, who played for New Mexico before UCLA, has been granted a temporary restraining order allowing him a fifth year of eligibility. This addition addresses LSU's immediate need at the point guard position under coach Will Wade, who seeks to bolster his first team in Baton Rouge. LSU currently has five players on its roster with further eligibility decisions pending for additional commitments.
